Living Fundraisers’ eco-friendly products are popular choices for Scout and Guide groups, particularly our growing kits. We’ve been told by the experts that one of the main reasons for this is that participating Scouts and Guides are able to earn badges by using our kits.
For example, after raising close to $1,500 with our Herb and Flower Growing Kits, the Gungahlin Starlight Guides have been set a challenge by their leaders to grow some herbs or a flower plant and keep a record of what happens each week to help them earn their Nature badges. What a great idea! We also recently heard of a Victorian Cub group achieving their Level 1 Green and Level 2 Red Gardener requirements by growing our Veggie and Fruit Kits.
Raise some funds and earn a badge – what more could you ask of a fundraiser!
What we are now wondering is if our award-winning Closet Cleanout clothing recycling program ran in conjunction with SIDS and Kids (currently available in Melbourne) could also count towards achievements and badges. If anyone has any information, we’d love to know more!
